Brief Description:  Wheel pants

Sam James arguably makes the fastest wheel pants available, but the instructions included left a lot to be desired. I spent easily 2 hours sanding and trimming and sanding and trimming and couldn't get the pant halves to fit. Finally I gave up and called Sam and he said, "didn't you cut out the hole for the tire?" my response was that the instructions didn't call for this until after the halves where joined. He then said, "oh, minor detail that needs to be changed in the plans I guess..." YA 2 hours of wasted work. Major Detail. Anyway, AFTER cutting a small opening, they went together well. I got through the steps that require a jig to be built which was easier than the plans version because I found 90 degree triangle pieces at lowes for $3. Perfectly square and easily screwed and glued to the cross bar 4x1. I used wood glue because my grandfather would throw a fit if he saw me using epoxy on wood. :) My axle bolts arrive tomorrow and I will then be able to re-install my wheels and continue the pant construction.
