Brief Description:  The good and bad

So after my euphoric first flight, I of course was oblivious to any and all flaws the airplane might have and today was proof.
Today's testing was to test stall speeds and possibly VNE, however as soon as I took off on a perfectly calm day I noticed something that was NOT seen on the first flight. Major skid. As soon as I lifted off, either a strong cross wind yawed the aircraft, or the yaw was off on the airplane. Well, after leveling off at 3000ft, I noticed I had to give some good ol' right rudder to center the ball. Not only that But Also right aileron roll trim. I can't believe I didn't notice this at all yesterday, but it's understandable. Anyways, the coupling of right yaw AND roll is bizaare. I'm going to start by shimming the wings for the yaw issue, knowing that yaw can affect roll as well. I'm having a hard time believing that the wing incidence is off that much. If anything it should roll left. The other possibility is that the engine is off centered and needs tweeking which may very well be the case. I suspected it might be when I was installing the mount and washers. Either way, shimming the mount may actually be the FIRST step if the engine lookes sideways during tomorrows investigation :)
I also ran into really high oil temps when the RPM went over 1500 which meant I was stuck at 100kts for 30 minutes. However, I went to full throttle to see what the engine and prop would do and WOW, this thing wants to GO! Can't wait to get those oil temps down!! I also saw higher CHT temps which is "actually" a good thing. Went up to 279 today. Perfect. Lots of work tomorrow.
