Brief Description:  Plug swap, Baffle adjustment, and new oil

Today I was committed to hunting down a couple small oil leaks which I "believe" were coming from 1 or 2 cylinder bolts, but I'm not totally sure. This involved removing the intake manifold, which allowed me to re-torque the cylinder heads at the same time. Glad I did as a few needed it. I also inspected the OEM Plugs and found them to all be identical in color and condition which is a GREAT sign since the piston swap. I am however going to swap back to the hotter FR6DTC plugs for a another couple hours to examine the performance difference. The lean mod on my blog has been one of the best mods for this engine hands down! Bores also looked acceptable with minimal scoring while oil usage is very minimal thanks the the ECI Break in procedure I've been following. The engine now has 11 hrs on the new pistons and it keep getting stronger. In Fact I am faster than I was with the OEM crap pistons by a solid 4 kts and I'm still running mineral oil. Can't wait to hit hour 20 and swap to synthetic. The next oil I'll be trying during breakin will be Valvoline VR1 which has the Zinc I need but an even higher viscosity at operating temps to protect the cylinder walls.
In effort to improve the engine one mod at a time I'm also going to be installing an oil pan drain valve to make oil changes a lot easier and cleaner. Parts are on the way :)
Finally, I've been getting closer and closer to balancing all the CHT's by modifying the baffles inside the plenums. Small material additions and subtractions, and soon they will all be within 5 deg. of each other which is the ultimate goal. The engine really seems smoother the closer they get to being balanced in temp which makes obvious sense. After she's broken in and balanced I will also be getting the prop and engine dynamically balanced. Fun times :)
