Brief Description:  More cranking amps

I can't believe it, but it's true. Odyssey batteries have been known to be great, but they have done something completely unethical recently. They sell a very popular PC680, that has always been rated at 220 CCA. BUT, without announcing that they would be de-rating this battery, cut it's CCA by 30% and did NOT change the model number or advertise the change. For the last year, I've had one of these newer batteries and have struggled to crank the engine when cold or really hot, not knowing why. Well now I do and I highly recommend NOT using the PC680!
Hunting for a solution that would fit in the same location, I found several people have been extremely pleased with the Deka line of batteries. For $80 I couldn't say no, ordered one, slightly modified my hold-down bracket, and tried it out. WOW, this puppy spins that engine like crazy. Cold, hot, or whatever doesn't matter. The new Deka ETX20L puts out a whopping 310CCA which is 80% higher than the current PC680 at the same weight and almost identical case. WIN. I'm a Deka fan.
