This is how I configured the forward instrument panel. The center section has a glove compartment designed like the original CB-1. The design of the door is based on the oil access door found on most cessnas and pipers. A Hartwell clamp is used to secure the door. I was quite surprised at the amount of labor to construct this door. Image three shows the door, hinge, door jamb and panel. The hinge and jamb will be flush riveted. I plan on installing two instruments for the co-pilot. I am thinking heading and altitude or airspeed and altitude with a magnetic compass on the front cowl. There is a large volume of space in the forward compartment which I need to decide how much of it to actually use. It seems as though things could get lost up there.
