Got the Bendix mags timed with a dual mag timer. Had to pull the right side mag off and rotate the gear to adjust that mag, but the left side was easy. Set them to 26 & 28 degrees per the TCM Manual. Checked all hoses, wiring, exhaust & intake connections, control cables, etc. in preperation for first start up.
Made a temp. fuel tank with a shut off valve and plumbed it into the fuel system. Put 2 gal. of 100 LL Avgas in and checked for any leaks.
Engine lit off on the first turn of the key, ran great. Let it idle at 600 -700 rpm and checked the mags. Ran it once more for a total of maybe 4 minutes. Very happy with it, sounds solid & strong, good to see it finally run!
