One of the recommendations of the EAA is to do some kind of practice project(s) prior to starting work on an actual aircraft.
Van's aircraft has two practice projects that are well worth the price so that you can make your mistakes on inexpensive metal before attempting to rivet, cut, etc on your actual aircraft.
So, while not actually part of the aircraft construction, I felt that it was worth logging hours as this is real time spent learning how to use all of the new tools. So I can log the time now or log the time as a mistake when it is made.
Tasks: 1. Read and reviewed instructions 2. Organize needed tools 3. Cleco parts together 4. Final drilled all side holes to prepare for riveting.
