Brief Description: Finished Center Elevator Hinge Assembly
Got the new elevator hinge in the mail about a week ago. Took Vans a long time to get it to me. They usually have pretty good turn around. Must be busy with the Holidays. Primed the bearing flange and squeezed my first rivets. Probably took me about a half hour to squeeze six rivets because of my paranoia about hosing something. Turned out pretty good though. Pneumatic rivet squeezers rock! Drilled out the holes for the fasteners ot attach the hinge to the rear spar. I knew I couldn't complete one step without dinkin' something. Notice the dinked up primer on the brackets and bearing. Dang it! I need to be more careful when I drill things. I'll have to touch those up before I final assemble the HS.
