Brief Description:  Shop Setup and Project Prep

I just received word on Friday from FedEx that the tail kit has been released from customs and will be delivered tomorrow! So I did some last minute shop cleanup to make sure it's ready to go. This has actually been an ongoing task over the past 6 months or so. I'm using 2 EAA workbenches that I built last Christmas. They're modified to 6' length and on top is 5/8" MDF which will be easy to replace as need be. For compressed air I have a 50L belt drive compressor. It has a built in filter-regulator which should allow me some flexibility setting the required line pressure. I'm planning on using it to run my drill, rivet gun, priming, etc. Also been working on my sheet metal skills and went ahead and got the Van's practice kits. My friend Greg, who is in the final stages of his F1 Rocket build, has been a lot of help. He came over and walked me through the basics of clecoing, drilling, and deburring. Getting to learn different techniques and make mistakes without too much consequence! Will work on dimpling and riveting next time. Until then, I’ve been watching lots of EAA videos online. I've also been reading the Standard Aircraft Handbook, which is helping my understanding of the basics.
