Well, after much planning and preparation, I finally started the empennage. I've been re-re-reading the plans and manual this past week and trying to visualize how it will go together. My friend Nico stopped by to provide some assistance and reassurance. Rear Spar Assembly. Laid out the pieces and parts of the HS and trial fit the skeleton just for fun. Couldn't imagine doing this without predrilled holes. The first step in the plans is to break the edges on the rear spar doublers. Experimented with the vixen file, scotchbrite wheel, sandpaper, and scotchbrite pad. Turns out, they're all are useful. Feels good to finally start.
