After 13+ years of dreaming, finally ordered my kitplane's empennage. Have been going back and forth between RV-7 or RV-8. But the fighter like look and feel of the RV-8 won out. I don't think you can go wrong either way as both have very high marks. I flew in an RV-6 a couple months ago and it confirmed that Van's provide a quality product and unequalled performance for the dollar. So I'd made every excuse under the sun up until now to not start the build, but finally ran out of excuses and convinced myself to go ahead and just do it. Being in Australia, it's a bit of a challenge as my job will require me to move back overseas in 2 years time. Because of this, I don't want to bite off more than I care to chew, or try to ship with me when I leave. So I will just be doing the empennage for now.
