Brief Description: Introduction to my Steen Skybolt
About me...
I am a secondary school teacher who has a passion for aviation. I teach mathematics and aerospace studies and currently own a Jabiru J160. I have owned several aircraft and this is the third aircraft I have built. I have been flying for nearly 20 years and have enjoyed every minute of it! I have a very supportive wife and two lovely children and live in tropical North Queensland, Australia.
About the Skybolt...
The Steen Skybolt is a fully aerobatic, two seat tandem biplane designed by Lamar Steen in the late '60s and first flew in 1970. The Skybolt cruises at about 130 knots and has an engine size of between 160hp to 300hp. Max take-off weight is in the vicinity of 1200lbs. Information and parts are available from www.steenaero.com
