Added four layers of tape (in batches of two with different lengths).
Then Jill and I sanded the fairing as per the manual instructions using a selection of home made sanding tools - used plastic pipe and left over closed cell foam from the baggage bay hinge seal.
A lot of work and very tiring but not a bad first result.
I peeled the first layer of electrical tape off - and slightly different to the instructions I added another layer of tape on top as I was not confident that I wouldn't go through that second layer into the canopy. I'd rather have a slight ridge than a scratched canopy!
For interest I used blue tape first then red and it was easy to see if you sanded too much.
