You can see the inside view of the epoxy shim from the previous Oil Door post.
I used KM610-51 Camlocs as recommended by another web site but I think the KM610-64 would be better for the extra panel thickness.
I didn't fancy the idea of the striker constantly being in contact with fibreglass so I fitted some 0.025" aluminium plates.
I also had to add a stiffener down the middle and a lateral one , between the camloc button and the flange (trimmed 0.064" angle), as the door bowed in the closed positiion.
After all the work to make this door I think I would have been better off using some 0.064" aluminium sheet - it's done now bar the priming/painting.
Overall quite pleased - 7/10?
