Brief Description:  Seatback - Advice

Whilst waiting for riveting assisatnce I jumped ahead to start on the rear seatback.

I refer you to the seatback drawing (76} and in particular detail A.

PLEASE take careful note of the hinge eyelet alignment when you cut the hinge to avoid minimum edge distance issues - ask me how I know!! If you accidentelly drilll the locating holes on the right hand side, like I did, they appear to be OK for both sides of the hinge as I checked the floor layout.

To me Detail A is very confusing as it implies F-833F Seatback Top Web is on the top of the 833E and 833C webs IT IS NOT and the main drawing is correct, it should be on the inside. Detail A also does not show you the top flange of 833A Seat back and 833B seems to be the right one not the left..... Still I got there in the end.

The instructions advise you to back rivet with a C-Frame dimple tool. I found it just as easy to use the extended straight rivet set (see rivet gun in photo 1) whilst the seat was clamped to the work table.

We had an unseasonably calm start to the autumn that allowed me to spray outside.
