During the initial gear fit (Landing Gear 1 and 2) I worked out that I needed 1 1/2 degree of shims to correct a toe in. I bought the shims from Vans see page 10-1 of manual for part numbers.
I emailed Vans Support to confirm that the shims should be match drilled with the 1/4" holes in the axle and you can see them between the axle and the and the gear leg (I used 3 washers in the photo to hold it all together for the toe check). When I bolted it up properly I could not get 1 thread showing and an AN960-416L was no good either so I'll have to order the next size bolt up to be on the safe side - lets face it there is no point in taking risks with the gear!
