I have never been greatly keen on the C-frame dimpler as it's noisy and bashing with a hammer is fraught with danger.
To import the full DRDT-2 dimpling tool to the UK is really too expensive due to the cost of shipping. So I bought the front end kit and asked a local steel fabrication shop to make the C frame, whch they did for £50.
The plans call for 6" x 3" but the shop didn't stock that so version 1 used 3" x 3". This flexed a bit too much so additional braces were added and version 2 dimples fine and is controlled and silent. A good investment.
