Brief Description:  WD-814 Roll Bar Problem Part 2

You will recall from part 1 that the flange was sitting 3/16" too high. While my son Robin supported the roll bar I clamped the flange to my work bench with some hardwood and then lifted the opposite end up in a series of lifts and relaxes. I did two or three of these sessions per flange and viola the vertical holes in the flange lined up with the canopy rail without having to use any clamping pressure..

The aft side of the flanges are not perfectly flat against the cockpit rail but Gus at Van's said this was not an issue

What initially appeared to be a big problem turned out to be easy to cure with the help of the right equipment and advice.

Thanks to all concerned.
