Brief Description:  Spray Booth

I have elected to be slightly contrarian regarding the primer to use. Tradition dictates the carcinogenic two part epoxy or Zinc Chromate primers. I am concerned about the health aspect of using these primers and plan to use Bullseye 123 water based primer sealer (see Primer Wars - The Directors Cut). I still need a spray booth to keep the spray contained and with space a premium in the garage I made a retractable booth using timber, waste pipes and polythene sheet. A six inch extractor was installed after using a hired diamond hole cutter.

The fan is covered with a cooker hood filter and there are nails to hang peices to be primed. Items can also be laid flat on chicken wire about a foot above the floor. Very large peices will be primed outside on a calm day!

I later added a retractable shelf and a turntable for quicker spraying of ribs.
