During fuselage construction I placed #8 anchor nuts on the flanges of the front arm rests and the right mid arm rest for front and rear pockets respectively. The rear one was made big enough to accept a bottle of water the front ones are mainly for maps/checklists/fuel tester etc
I used a local upholster and supplied him with:
* Aluminium back plate made from scrap sheet bent so that the outboard section of the pocket slanted towards the fuselage skin
* 1 Sq Yd of leather that was supplied by Classic Aero Design when I ordered my seats from them
* Hipkiss PP101 Press Stud fittings bought from a chandlery
AN509 8R10 (MS24694-S7) fit inside the male press stud perfectly
