Exciting day - see aircraft for first time since I left here and what a transformation. It is no longer a project it is now an aeroplane. And that feeling got better and better as we added all the parts over the next two days.
The we re-weighed with the Light Aircraft Association scales and discovered the aircraft has lost some weight! Re-checked all figures and same answer 1102 lbs. Contacted LAA and reply was "used them earlier this summer and they compared 'like for like' with another set of scales which were calibrated more recently" so that is what we she weighs for the record.
Post note doubt still existed about weight/CG so re-weighed Oct 13 and found LAA scales were wrong. When there is doubt then there is no doubt?
