Location: Normally the pump will be fixed to the tank but as my tank is on the aft battery tray location and my weight limit there was 25 lbs (Concorde battery) I needed to move the pump elsewehere. I wanted access for maintenance and it needed to be somewhere strong as this is not the lightest of pumps. (PS If I was doing this again I would investigate the Andair Smoke Pump). So after discussions with my inspector I opted for under the right console between the right gear tower and the centre section.
I changed the outlet routing to follow the right fuel tank pipe (red line in photo 1) and through the left gear tower above the fuel pump to the firewall.
