Brief Description:  Cowl 24 - Doh

After the big move I tried to get the lower cowl off. No way hoseh!

When I made the cowl I fitted the spinner backplate. However, when I made the baffles I didn't -DOH!

The Right Hand Side needed only minor baffle trimming and the rubber strip on the lower cowl also needed some minor trimmimg.

One of the benefits of not painting first as the Left Hand Side needed quite a bit of surgery. I trimmed the cowl to just in front of the screws (red line) and added some extra holes on the inboard flange.

As the left intake has the air filter the easy route for incomimg air is the filtered air box as it will be in suction and the excess will carry on aft for the cooling so the rubber seal on the left intake is not so crucial so I fitted the cowl without it.

I discussed this with my inpsector and also an ex-RAF mechanic and we all agreed to fly it and see if there are any issues and take it from there.

Panic over. I will post a warning on my baffle log!

This marks the end of the Finish and Fibreglass phase
