First photo is a AN hose pressure test kit that I bought and has a tyre inflation valve on each fitting.
When I fiited the inverted oil pick up hose I noticed that it chaffed on the standard Chamipon Oil Filter (Image 2)
After much research I discovered the K&N HP-1002 3" diameter filter (same diameter as filter housing) - used by Toyota and Lexus vehicles and is the same design as the Champion. The only problem was that the Champion filter comes with a threaded male fitting but the K&N is a female (same thread). So I had to find a 3/4-16 nipple which I sourced from ebay. I loctited the nipple to the engine so hopefully when I have an oil filter change the nipple will stay put. If not I'll have to change the nipple each time I change the filter. Slight pain but at least there is no chafing.
The K&N is approved by my engine maker (Aero Sport Power) and it has the same 1" nut/safety wire facility as the Champion, K&N also have a very good reputation in the racing world.
