Brief Description: Sywell Rally & Inspectors First Flight
A good lift this month to help push me towards the finish line.
Firstly I attended the LAA Rally at Sywell (The UK's Oshkosh) and saw a few 8's and the one in the photo had a great paint scheme - simple yet effective.
Next I few to Swansea in a friends RV 7 (Martin Stevens) to witness Andy Hill, my test pilot to be, conduct my Inspector's first flight. Gary started his RV7 about 6 months before mine, though he is retired!
Whilst Gary made some minor tweeks Andy and I flew Martins Spin/Aerobatic clearance flight. Now I haven't spun since 1998 and not done aeros for 3 years so after this workout I was a wee bit pale to say the least! At least Martin got his clearance - all he has to do now is loose a bit of weight to get within the max AUW for dual aeros!! I'll help him by loosing some as well!
Then Gary flew with Andy on his first flight in his aircraft and came back with the classic RV Grin!
