So I trimmed the door with tin snips and then sanded it square on the cowl sanding tool so that it had a reasonable fit.
Drilled and bonded the hinge to the cowl and glassed around the rear of the door flange as I had to sand it quite thin to get the door to lay reasonably flush (dark corners).
I then sealed the door edges with shiny parcel tape and faired in the door with mayo epoxy. I will uses more filler when I know exactly how much needs to be applied.
