This year I have the budget to do one full season of air racing to give it my best shot (unless my lottery numbers come up!).
The first race was at Leicester and on the Saturday race I crossed the line first - however, I knew the handicappers had given me a duff speed so after an adjustment I came 6/18 which I was very pleased with. More importantly I headed the RV group (4) and that is a trophy I would love to win at the end of the year - particulalry as my mentor John "JK" Kelsall is a very seasoned racer.
Unfortunately due to strong winds the Sunday race was cancelled and as an added bonus I had to divert into Cardiff on the way home and spent the night in Barry (like being on the set of "Gavin and Stacey"!
