I have flown quite a few formation flights with Barry Gwynett who owns an RV-8 and was the camera ship for my fantastic photo shoot with Ed Hicks and I said any time you want me to return the favour please shout.
Well on the week prior to the shoot Barry shouted.
I flew down to Pembrey and met up with Adam Roberts, a young private pilot who is also an RAF Volunteer Gliding School instructor at RAF St Athan in South Wales. He is also a keen, and very good photographer. After the "What a Day" photo shoot this was only me second as a pilot and Adams first serious Air to Air shoot so we were both a little nervous to get the right result for the team. Ah yes the Team ... RaVen Aerobatic team. A 5 ship consisting of the leader in a RV 4 and the othert 4 - RV-8's. A mixture of RAF, an ex-RAF pilot and civil pilots including Barry (#3).
The shoot lasted only 20 minutes but Adam manged to capture some great shots and the team are very happy with this first attempt. Hope you are too!
