Brief Description: Flight to Welshpool - Mid Wales
I have travelled to a few local airfields recently to get to know them in case I have to divert whilst passing by. The most enjoyable trip was to Welshpool in Mid Wales. A really friendly and well kept airfield in the upper reaches of the Severn River valley - Landing Fees are free if you uplift 50 litres or more. The added bonus was the snow covered hills and bairly a breath of wind - beautiful.
Simon complained a bit about the cold and I have to say I thought the Cabin Heat was pretty ropey - well it was for good reason ....... see next log entry.
