so today i got the metal from work and took off early (got to love the holidays). i laid out the rivet pattern and drilled the doubler. then i cut out the center of the doubler, and drilled it to the fwd deck. then i cut out the fwd deck access opening, put he doubler in place and there you have it, a nice insertion patch. of course i still need to dimple the skin, countersink the doubler, prime, and then put a thin coat of proseal on the doubler during installation. times two. but this is the kind of stuff i like.
