today i got a lot done. i started by priming the gap seals. then i riveted the aileron brackets on. i used a combo of the squeezer and regular bucking. it went very well, even with the long rivets. after the gap seals were dry i riveted them on (at least the aileron ones). i decided to see what the aileron would like like on there, so i put it on. i had fun getting the washers and spacers in, but i was able to do it. looks pretty cool. i then decided, since i had time, to make the smaller push rod. i got this done pretty quickly. priming the inside was pretty messy, but thats ok. once i had the length set, i hooked it up to the aileron and put the provided tool in place. the ailerons sit pretty close to right on. i think i'll have to make a pretty small correction. all in all, i had a great day, lots of progress.
