after some deliberation about the radios, i decided to press forward with cutting the gps hole. i spoke with dynon sales and they are hopefull for the radio, but not sure when. so i decided i will move the airgizmo hole up as far as i can so i will have room to put in a radio under it. and with garminis new radio coming out in august, that gives me an option. it will easily fit in the space under the gps. i'm still hoping the dynon comes out, and i have time to wait. so i cut out the hole for the gps and put in the mounting rails.
