after trimming off the forward corners, i realized that i needed to trim the back to get it a little closer to where it should be. so i marked it just at the bulkhead rivets, and cut that off. then i took the top skin off to let it sit down a little lower at the rear. we were getting much closer. so i marked the split point very carefully. once i had a line on the canopy, i taped the cut line on both the front and back. pam came out to help us for the big cut. while rich held the back and pam held the front i started the cut. i started in the middle and brought the cutter toward me very slowly. every 10 inches or so i stopped and we taped. i cut down to about 9 inches left on the left, and then went over to the right side and cut it.
