after teh engine mount was on, i went to the other end and put the tail wheel on. i will need to revisit the hole i made for the nut on the tailwheel, it isn't big enough for the socket head to get in there. as you can see, i have a doug bell fork, which is really nice. then i started on the struts. i must say that there is not much to look at for this. i had hoped to have the plane on its own gear today, but i need to get some powder for the inner tubes and some grease for the bearings. all in all, a very satisfing presidents day, and my order from vans even came. so i guess this week i will try to finish the canopy frame. the weather has been pretty warm here, but i still think i'll wait a bit to start cutting the canopy. i want it to be hot so i can minimize the risk of cracking.
