i marked the aft tube on the frame and clecoed the skins on, after doing a little clean up grinding on the frame. it seemed to line up ok, and i could see the line in the predrilled holes in the skin. so i went ahead and drilled the holes to #40, starting in the center. just like a lot of folks, i ran into the issue of having a large gap on the outboard three rivets. i will have to see how others got around this. then i started doing all the firewall holes per the finish kit plans. i figure this is as good a time as any while i wait for the replacement plastic blocks. i think i got all the holes drilled except for the control cables (which i'll do later when i can see where they will need to be).
