i started on the friction blocks for the tip canopy the right side went in just about perfect, the left side not so much. i'm not really sure where i went wrong, but i do know that this won't work. i called vans and ordered two new pieces, not a great way to start out on the canopy. so i moved on to the side latch. i decided to fore go cutting out the template, and instead i made a metal drilling guide. pretty easy and it worked great.
