Work on the gear fairings never seems to be complete. Today, I spent some time to mount the attachments to the back sections of the fairings. There are rivetted on with 4 size rivets. I intend to cover the outside of the rivets with a small piece of 1.5 oz fiberglass cloth to conceal them before painting. After this, I assembled the fairings to the gear legs and measured around the exposed tire to provide 3/4" clearance around the sides and 1 1/4" around the fronts and backs. I cut away the fairings to provide this clearance with a diamond cutter and sanding wheels.
