Brief Description: Finished wiring grips into barrier strip
During this session, I started wiring the stick cables into the barrier strips. While doing so, I confirmed continuity of the circuits and that the switches worked as expected. When I got to the pilot stick top hat, I discovered that I had broken the top hat by overheating the contacts of the switch during wiring. This switch is not made to handle a lot of heat applied to the contacts. All contacts were shorted. I contacted JD at Infinity Aerospace and he sent me a new switch. He also advised me to can the grips to the inside of the airplane by about 15 degrees in order to make them more comfortable to use. I got the switch within a couple of days.
