Brief Description:  Started copilot grip connector wiring

When I received the connector and pins, there were no assembly instructions, just a bunch of parts. After playing around with the parts, I figured out how the connector needed to be assembled. I ordered contacts that were supposedly suitable for 20 gauge wire, but the contacts were so small that I decided to use 22 guage instead. All the signals will be low current control voltages, so I figured this would be fine..

I ordered crimp on contacts. Fortunately, I had a tool that would crimp the connectors fairly well. The tool I used was an AMP F crimp tool that I had collected over the years. It had a suitable set of dies for the wire and the insulation. Even so, the contacts just barely fit into the housing. This is really tiny stuff. Also, make sure that the contacts are fully crimped. You don't want the wires coming out of the contact after its been inserted. I spent a couple of hours trying to extract a pin from the housing after the poorly crimped wire came out of the contact.
