One of the hardest parts of triming up the canopy frame is figuring out how to make small adjustment bends to get the shape just right. To do this, I got a 6 foot 1.5 inch section of angle iron. I measured the curvature of the fuselage sides by clamping a straight board to the front edge and measuring the displacement to the fuselage at various distances from the front. I used the bar to apply bending force on short portions of the frame to get them to conform to the curvature of the longerons. This was a time consuming process.
