Brief Description:  Mounted pitot on left wing

Decided to take the day to install the heated pitot tube into the left wing. After looking at the tube that comes out of the pitot, I decided that I didn't want to bend it in any way. Bending this tube would make it difficult to remove and replace if I ever had to. I built a bracket just below the pitot mounting point to hold a right angle AN fitting. This will connect the pitot tube to the rigid aluminum tube that runs through the wing to the fuselage. I fitted a length of 1/4" tube through the holes provided in the ribs. I put an S bend in the end to meet up to the AN fitting. I used an AN fitting at the wing root as well. I then mounted the brackets provided with the pitot tube and the circuit board that monitors temperature and controls the heating element. I laced the wires that run from the pitot tube to the circuit board to finish that off. So the pitot is very easily remove by removing the screws in the pitot extension tube and undoing the AN fitting for the tube.
