Brief Description: Preped and primed small parts and ribs
Spent the last couple of days scurbbing and alumidyning small parts, leading edge ribs, and the rear spars. Sprayed these parts on Saturday afternoon. Discovered that I had the spray gun misadjusted on the first round of paint. I went through a lot of paint in a short time. This time, I spent some time playing with the spray gun adjustments and found that I could spray a lot less paint and get a really nice finish. All part of getting comfortable with new tools and techniques. Even with all the curtains and setup, I found I was getting what I considered unacceptable amount of dust or particles in the paint. This is okay for the inside primer, but not good enough for finish work. Need to resolve this in the future.
