Started installing landing lights by attaching the hole pattern to the leading edge skin with contact cement. This keeps the pattern attached to the skin during cutting and trimming. Used tape around the edges in addition. Rough cut the hole with a high speed hole cutter fitted with a 1/8" carbide veining bit. Cut to within 1/4" of the line. Used a file to clean up the edge. Used the pattern to drill the holes for the plastic backup plates.
