I started working on mounting the GPSMAP-696. I want to be able to remove the 696 without using screws because it will likely be removed frequently to get access to the memory module. I decided to use hinges mounted on a backplate and Z extrusions. The Z extrusions hold off the unit from the front panel. A U shaped pin will mate the hinges on both sides of the unit.
