Once the fiberglass splash mold was pulled from the baffle plenum plug, it was sanded smooth (it was already pretty smooth from the finished plug) and waxed. To pull a part from the mold, the mold was waxed, and coated with a film of PVA mold release. The final part was made of 4 layers of 8 oz. fiberglass and polyester resin. Nice fit!
