Brief Description: EAA Workbench - Measuring and Laying out for Top F
I measured the 60 inch 2x4 pieces that will form the sides of each of the two tables. On the 60 inch pieces, I marked the centerlines for each of for the five 21 inch pieces that will be screwed into the 60 inch 2x4s.
I made screw pattern templates so that I can have consistent spacing. I cut out of cardboard two different templates. One that is 1.5x3.5 and contains two hole on the long centerline that are spaced 7/8 inch from each end (3.5 / 2 / 2 = 7/8). The second was 3.5x3.5 and has two holes spaced 7/8 inch from the bottom and side on two opposite corners.
I used the template to place markings for holes on the four 60 inch 2x4 pieces.
Once everything was marked, I laid it out on the floor.
I also drew centerlines on the bottom sides of the five 21 inch pieces.
