Constructed a Wing Tank Cradle using the templates from the RV-14 on the shipping crate.
Leak tested the left fuel tank from the RV-8A. There was a leak found in the center of one of the pulled rivets in the patch plate placed after the inital leak repair. I was surprised to find the leak here because these are the pulled rivets with the aluminum seals ends that look like top hats. There were no leaks found in the areas of repair. That was the great news. I didn't want to have to remove all of the pulled rivets in the patch plates.
I sealed all of the pulled rivets in the patch plates so this won't be a future problem with any of these rivets. I will let the sealant cure for 72 hours before I leak test the tank. the tank will stay in the cradle to allow gravity to help flow the sealant.
