Brief Description:  Started Left Fuel Tank Construction

Started Left Fuel Tank Construction.

Cut the newly arrived J-channel to 54" for both tanks. Marked a centerline on the channels 5/16" from the edge. Drilled a #40 hole in each channel 1/4" from the end. Attached a J-channel to the Left Fuel Tank Skin using the #40 hole in the first hole. The Fuel Tank Skin had been placed in the wing cradle after removing the blue plastic film. Working away from the First hole, the J-channel was match drilled to the skin, on centerline with the J-channel, and clecoed the entire length.

TheT-00002 Rear Tank Baffle was clecoed in place and countersunk to accept AN426AD3 rivets. The goal was to countersink about 0.005" shallow rather than deeper.

Deburred and dimpled the J-Channel.

Put a slight downward bend on the top and bottom rear skin edges.
