Rt LE Second Inbd Rib Not Clearing Spar Bar. The bar is preventing the rib from fitting flush to the spar web.
Flipped the wing after riveting the bottom spar rivets of the Right Leading Edge. The leading edge rivet holes had a gapfrom the spar towards the inboard edge. Inspection showed the second inboard rib was not clearing the spar bar. The relief notch that was cut was not cut enough. The Leading Edge needs to be removed so the notch can be enlarged. Also noted that at least two pulled rivets either did not capture the rib flange or grabbed it poorly. I inspected all of the other blind rivets for quality of pull.
On the RV-8 construction, I built the wings on a stand. On the stand, the misfit would have beed=n obvious prior to any rivet setting. Building horizontally, the problem was not discovered until the wing flip.
