Brief Description:  Started Re-install of the Rt Leading Edge

Started Re-install of the Rt Leading Edge.

Trimmed the second inboard rib to fit the spar. Checked the fit before riveting the bottom spar rivet holes to the spar. Flipped the wing so I could cleco the top skin to the spar. I clecoed every hole to insure the top wing skin and the leading edge skin lined up to each other. I'll have to wait for help to finish riveting the top leading edge skin to the spar.

The RV-8A left tank developed a leak from the Fuel Guardian Sensor. It took some abuse during the repair of the rear baffle leak awhile ago. I suspected damage to the sensor very shortly after re-installation of the fuel tank because the left tank sensor have failed to work. Proof of failure was seeing that the tank leaked out about 6 gallons over an unknown time. She wasn't flown much recently because of the RV-14A build. Anyways, I started to fabricate a bung to attach the new sensor style. The new one threads into a 1/4" NPT hole while the old one was held in place by a retention nut. I drilled the 7/16" hole for the 1/4" NPT tap. Fabrication stopped because the tap I received was for a 3/8" hole instead of 1/4". I will continue once I receive the right tap.
